ABOUT LYNDA
My story began in Chicago, Illinois, third daughter of my wonderful parents Annie and Harold Foster. My Mother was a wonderful self-taught cook and baker, who gained much knowledge from my two Grandmothers.

This generational knowledge was subsequently passed down to me as I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my Mother, who was very encouraging and gave me free rein to experiment on my own.

Growing up watching and learning the intricacies of the kitchen, I took my passion for food to Culinary Arts school. Under the strict guidance of a gifted and talented Dutch Chef, Arie Van Selm, I learned the science of food preparation and the artistry of food presentation. Training with a European Chef and apprenticing at the Neiman Marcus Zodiac restaurant with Helen Corbitt, I knew the Culinary field was my destiny. After further education at Southern Colorado University I moved to New York City to pursue a career in food editorial. I wanted to create the food stories that appeared beautifully photographed in magazines.
I became the Test Kitchen Director at Ladies Home Journal, Associate Food and Equipment Editor at American Home magazine and have written for various publications: Cosmopolitan, The Press Telegram, The Register and Ghirardelli Chocolate to name a few.

While raising my three daughters I kept busy catering, food styling, teaching cooking and baking and attending classes at the Ewald Notter School of Pastry in Orlando, Florida.
I am passionate about healthy, delicious, beautiful food and believe some of the sweetest moments in life are shared talking and enjoying culinary delights.
